6th Dan Tokitsu Ryû -4th Dan Spanish Karate Federation (F.K.E.)
In January 1970, while living in PARIS, Oskar was enrolled by his brother Raúl in a SHOTOKAI karate club karate under the direction of Tesuji Murakami. There he trained until 1977, when he moved to Santander where he switched to the SHOTOKAN school and eventually opened his own dojo, known as Oskar Karate Kyokai. From 1978 to 1993, he was a member of the Spanish Karate Federation (F.E.K.), under whose auspices he competed, taught, served as a referee and as a director. But as time went on he grew dissatisfied with Shotokan and began looking into other methods, a search that led him to study and practice Aikido, Yoga, Zen, Full Contact, various Chinese martial arts and Kick Boxing.
In 1990 he met Master Kenji Toktisu and in 1992 became his student. In the year 2000 he met Dr. Toshihiko Yayama and has continued working with both these masters until the present. Today, Oskar’s life continues to revolve round martial arts and Budo, a path which he ceaselessly pursues and investigates.
